only me when I'm with you

Breakfast of Champions

Those who know me know that I'm a fat kid stuck in a skinny kid's body. I could eat dessert for every meal and be perfectly content. The only exception is chicken parm...love love love chicken parm. Breakfast is pretty much the only real meal I have time to eat during the day. Luckily, breakfast is the only meal I really know how to make. My friend taught me to make french toast a while back and to this day it's still pretty much the only thing I can cook. Thanks John! It's absolutely scrumptious!
Scramble two eggs, throw some cinnamon in there, soak two pieces of bread in the mixture, throw the bread on a pan and cook, right before you think the toast looks done put tons of chocolate chips on each piece. Bon Appetit!

Audrey Hepburn

"Pick the day. Enjoy it--to the hilt. The day as it comes. People as they come..the past, I think, has helped me appreciated the present- and I don't want to spoil any of it by fretting about the future." -Audrey

Obsessed with this picture of Audrey Hepburn, she is too cute with her pixie hair cut, gingham pants, and ballet flats.

"People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone" -Audrey Hepburn

Raindrops...

...are falling on my head

I bought this awesome cardigan this weekend...rain or shine I wanted to wear it. Also whipped out the curls for this lovely rainy day (promised I'd show the my professor that I do indeed have super curly hair). Of course after a long day at the sewing lab I was wrapped in my cocoon sweatshirt with my favorite beanie and uggs. How sweet is the vampire on the back...wink wink

Sparkling

After a terrible weekend being sick, Sunday morning I was feeling a little better and decided I needed to put a bright color on, which also matched the day because the sun was shining and the ocean was sparkling. Bright colors always make me smile, having people in my life that make me laugh so hard I cry doesn't hurt either...

Sleepy head

Ziggy was being a sleepy monster so he found himself a comfy chair in the sun and slept the day away. He looked so cute I couldn't help but take pictures. I was super jealous, I need a nap.

Happy Thursday!

Ahh, my February Free People catalog came today. I want to die and be reborn as this outfit. I love love love these Bloomer Bamboo Shorts. How fierce are these gladiator sandals?

Alice + Olivia

Stacey Bendet did it again for Fall 2010. Flirty and fun but elegant at the same time. I adore the top hats. All that is missing is the white rabbit.

Anyone else completely obsession with Milly's colored tights in the Fall show? Classic with a splash of fun as always.

Long Live McQueen

Lee Alexander McQueen's passing hit everyone in the fashion industry hard. He was one of the most influential and innovative designers of all time. Heartbroken is the only way to describe it. On Sunday, Betsey Johnson paid homage to McQueen during her runway show.

"I think the idea of mixing luxury and mass-market fashion is very modern — wearing head-to-toe designer has become a bit passé. It’s a new era in fashion — there are no rules. It’s all about the individual and personal style, wearing high-end, low-end, classic labels, and up-and-coming designers all together. " -Alexander McQueen

Guys Love BJ

Sometimes, especially when I have a 10 hour day at work then have to come home and spend the night sewing away, I just want to be comfortable. What a better way than to throw on an oversized tank, bandeau bra, and liquid leggings. Obviously to still keep it cute I made sure the bandeau was sequin, the ballet flats studded, and puppy adorable.

Snow Day

The northeast is being hit hard this week by lovely white powder. As pretty as the snow is, it's starting to bore me. This winter wonderland needs some color. Nothing is better to bring fun and color to an outfit than tights.
