Blooming

Most people do not like the rain...it makes people tired and cranky. Most days I am not one of those people. I love the rain. I love the smell right before a big spring rain storm and right after. The best part about the rain is when the clouds finally part and the sun peaks through, everything just seems a little brighter. How cute is this little guy? I love him, the puppies on the other hand try to scare him away.

Still Skeptic

A Girl Can Dream

I've never been one of those girls who dreams about her wedding day. I have friends who are obsessed with wedding shows, blogs, etc...I just don't get it. Sure, diamonds are nice but who wants a dress that can only be worn once. In two weeks, my mom will be getting married and as much as I dislike the idea of marriage, its kind of cute. To get into the spirit of things I've been searching wedding blogs looking for decoration ideas. On my search I stumbled upon this classic wedding video.

So fun, now on to the day I dream about...getting my dream closet. Think Cher in Clueless and Carrie Bradshaw's closets only better.
That's true love.

Lust of the Day

I love this cute little emerald ring. Too bad it's sold out! Check out other awesome stuff from the store, Bird.

Fast Dreams

I just finished reading Twenties Girl written by Sophie Kinsella (author of Shopaholic). If you like the Shopaholic books, you should read Twenties Girl. There was a quote in the book that I absolutely loved. "When things go wrong in life, this is what you do...You lift your chin, put on a ravishing smile, mix yourself a little cocktail—and out you go.” Let's be honest sometimes when you are having a bad day, getting dressed up and getting out of the house is all you need!Atelier Bachwitz 1925 fashion plate by starduste.

Aim High

At Coachella, Whitney Port wore high waisted shorts with a black top. I am obsessed with this look. I'm thinking this summer I might just live in high waisted shorts and bandeau tops...at the beach anything goes.
I'm loving these shorts from Urban Outfitters especially the scalloped bottoms. Let's go retro. I've been lusting over this bikini since last year and it's back at Mod Cloth this year! I think it's a must for the summer.

Look to the Western Sky

One of my professors pointed out that I wear black way to much so I thought I'd mix it up with this fun, colorful, floral dress. It's the perfect dress for spring and is super comfortable. Since it's still a little cold I paired it with a black cardigan, tights, and booties (can't completely get away from black). I love that the dress is shorter in the front and longer in the back, it makes me spin around and dance.
The puppies got curious and wanted to play.

Fly Away

I'm a sucker for good visual merchandising. After four years of D&M, I can't help but notice every store window I pass. Louis Vuitton always has the best windows, it makes my day when they change them (which doesn't happen very often). I'm in love with birds and bird cages, something about thinking about flying away! So, of course I was a big fan of LV's winter windows. The new windows for spring are super fun with heels flowing away on balloons. The pink is a nice change from the usual dark brown background.

Take Me Baby or Leave Me

I spent the day working on my knitwear, feeling slightly uninspired, I went searching for something to change that and stubbled upon this magnificent gown. The dress was hand-knitted by textile designer, Jemma Sykes. It's completely made of organic wool.

April Showers Bring May Flowers

There is nothing I love more than to wake up to the smell of rain. What makes it even better is when it rains for a short time then leads way to an amazing warm, sunny day. Happy Tuesday!
